Volunteer
There are opportunities for anyone to give some of their time and talents, whether occasionally, regularly or for a limited period.
Restoration: Helpers are always welcome with the efforts to restore our beautiful church. For example, a team has been removing the 1960s cork tiles to uncover the original church floor. There is also the repair and conservation of items and safe storage of documents. There might be other skills you might bring to this parish project.
Church services: Volunteers make preparations before and during Mass, such as altar servers, choir members, readers or welcomers.
Cleaners: We are on the lookout for extra help with maintaining the church.
Confirmation: We particularly need catechists to lead the confirmation preparation programme for 2026.
Visitors: People who can visit the sick or housebound are always welcome.
Administration: This can include promoting Gift Aid, finance, communication or other parish paperwork.
If you are interested in undertaking a volunteering role, please introduce yourself to the priest, or use the form that can be downloaded below, or contact us.
Fill in the category you are interested in, return it to us, by scanning and emailing or by bringing to church, and the co-ordinator of that volunteer group will be in touch.
All volunteer roles need to be undertaken in co-operation with the relevant co-ordinator. Some may require a DBS check requirement prior to commencement because vulnerable individuals may be involved.
